I am so clumsy in the kitchen I used to burn myself once a day if not more often. I used to use those both pot holders and cloth oven mitts and they always ended up getting me burned. They also get messy from food getting spilled on them or when you life a casserole out of the oven and end up putting your thumbs in burning hot food. Then you have to throw them in the washer and half the time they still end up stained for life and look gross hanging in your kitchen. I threw out all my cloth oven mitts when I got these silicone oven mitts. They make it so easy to handle hot food and best of all I don't get burned anymore. The mitts cover your hands and your wrists so you don't get those painful steam burns from lifting the lids off hot food. The mitts have little grippers all over them so you don't have to worry about anything sliding out of your hands and hitting the floor. They are comfortable to wear as well and work with large and small hands. And they are dishwasher safe so they cleanup way easier and no having to put them in the washing machine with your laundry. There's a hook hole on each mitt so you can hang them in your kitchen so they are right there when you need them. I love the bright green color too because it really brightens up my kitchen.
