12 Inch Skillet & 14 Inch Pizza Pan Both Made of Durable Cast Iron
This skillet is made of strong, durable, heavy duty cast iron. It can be used on the stove top or in the oven. I had never owned any cast iron cookware before and wow was I amazed when I received this skillet. The skillet is quite heavy and strong and is nice and deep so you can cook a whole meal in this pan. It has a nice handle with hook to hang the skillet by. There's also another handle on the opposite side of the skillet which makes it a lot easier to pick up and handle this skillet especially when its full of food. The skillet came with a handy guide to show me how to season the skillet and the dos and don't of using and caring for it. This was really handy for me since I had never owned any cast iron cookware before. Seasoning the pan was quite easy I just washed it with hot water, dried it out good, coated it with vegetable oil, and baked it in the oven for an hour at 400 degrees.
I love the variety of things I can cook in this skillet. From frying potatoes, bacon, sausage, pork chops, chicken, and other meats. To baking pineapple upside down cake, apple cakes, or cornbread in the oven. You can also use this skillet to make everyday meals like the boxed hamburger meals, eggs, grilled cheese, and browning ground beef for tacos. I use my skillet everyday I really enjoy it and everything I prepare in it turns out great. Its easy to clean I just wipe it clean with paper towels and wash it with hot soapy water. I also like to place it in a warm oven to thoroughly dry so it doesn't rust or start to tarnish. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased review of it.
Recently I started making homemade pizzas at home with made from scratch crust. They're a lot of fun to make and they taste delicious especially since you can add anything you want to them. So I needed a good pizza pan that would make the pan pizza crust my family enjoys come out really crispy on the bottom and delicious. I also wanted a pizza pan I could use on those busy nights when I only have time to pop a frozen pizza in the oven but still want it to come out golden crispy crusted and delicious. This cast iron pizza pan is the perfect size 14 inches that it makes a large sized pizza big enough to feed all of us.
The pan is nice and heavy duty cast iron and has two strong sturdy cast iron handles on either side of it making it easy to pick up and carry. I had never owned any cast iron cookware before so I was very happy the company included a use and care guide for the pan complete with instructions on how to season the pan. Seasoning the pan was quite simple I just washed it with warm soap and water, coated it with vegetable oil, and baked it in the oven for 1 hour at 400 degrees. Cleaning this pan is also easy too. I just wipe it clean with paper towels and a little hot soap and water on a rag, and then place it in a warm oven to thoroughly dry. The pan makes great pizza. I have a recipe to make my own dough from scratch and with this pan the crust turns out nice and thick and golden brown and crispy on the bottom just like the pizzeria's. The toppings on my pizzas always get done too even in the center of the pie. I couldn't ask for a better pizza pan. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased review of it.
