This temperature gun is so easy to use. It's powered by one 9 volt battery that came included so it was ready to use right out of the package. It can take readings in both Fahrenheit and Celsius with just the touch of a button. And it has an optional lighted background to make the LCD screen easier to see if need be. It also has a hold feature so you can keep the reading on the screen for as long as you need to. Its really easy to use you just point and shoot the gun at what you want a temperature reading from. There's a laser red dot that lights up on what you're reading also. Not only can you use this gun on food but you can use it on items around the house too. I've used mine to take a temperature reading on some surfaces around my home and we even tried it out on a car. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased review of it.
