Easy To Use & Accurate Too.....

This monitor is easy to use and easy to maintain. I got this for my 90 year old grandmother that suffers from high blood pressure. I chose this because it has a nice large digital LCD display that also lights up so its very easy for her to read. Its also easier to use than the arm cuff monitors so she has an easier time putting this monitor on and taking her blood pressure. This monitor also has a simple 1 button to operate the monitor which is great because she has a hard time working things with lots of buttons. It runs on 2 AAA batteries that are inserted by pressing down on a small door on the side of the unit that stays attached so it won't fall off and get lost. The monitor comes with detailed easy to read instruction booklet and instructions printed right on the cuff with drawings to show her how to use the monitor correctly. The cuff is soft and doesn't scratch the skin and the Velcro stays on securely but isn't hard to pull apart when removing the cuff.

The booklet that comes with the monitor has some handy info inside it that tell you what high, severe, medium, and low blood pressure numbers should be. My grandmother doesn't use the internet so info like this isn't readily available to her so this book helps her understand her blood pressure. There's also a line on the monitor that goes from red to yellow to green and a dot will light up next to the color that corresponds to your blood pressure reading. The numbers also tell her what they are like SYS, DIA, and Pulse. She can also store her readings and there's a handy clock on the meter that documents the time she took her reading. And if she forgets to turn it off it automatically shuts off after a minute so the batteries won't run down. The monitor comes in a hard plastic case that snaps shut so she can keep it in there when its not being used. It also makes it easier for her to take it with her because its compact and fits in her purse. On the last visit I went with her to the doctor and we were surprised how accurate this meter was when tested against the machine they were using at the doctor's office.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased review of it.

  1. I have one of these and the instructions are not very easy to understand. Don't think English is their first language. I keep getting an error reading of U and it says "The charge value smaller than 20mmHg in 5S." I have no clue what this means. I changed the batteries out for brand new ones and still get the error reading. Any ideas how to correct this?
